This facility boasts 26,000m2 of high bay narrow aisle and selective bay racking with 2.4km of zone pick conveyancing which will have the capability of picking 83,000 items daily via voice pick technology.
With over 204,000 carton storage and live pick locations stock is managed through slow, medium and fast pick storage modules. Innovation was key in the design of this site that manages 45,000 active SKU range through a very active seasonality profile.
Design pick rates have been far exceeded in the first year of operation and effort is now being invested to provide further production gains and reduction in costs through a robust process improvement programme.
In concert with this logistics project a three year supply chain strategy has also been delivered in support of the future business needs.

To meet increasing international and domestic demand this company requires a facility for both its indent and retail distributions. Built with a floor space of 5000m2 this facility has also included a further 1700m2 mezzanine production area to compliment a comprehensive 4 Pod vertical carousel picking system. |
This carousel system is supported with both replenishment and takeaway conveyors and a 26 lane sortation station for the consolidation of all customer orders.
The facility also includes a 96 bay pick to light station for the processing of indent orders and supported by narrow aisle man up racking reaching 12.5 metres in height.
Peak production in this facility is already exceeded design and ROI specifications.

Two substantial Greenfield sites have been delivered, one in Sydney of 40,000sqm and the other in Melbourne of 50,000sqm. Each has been fitted with extensive sortation equipment sourced from Europe to support the retail network of approximately 450 stores. |
These two sites are both turnkey solutions that encompass extensive canopy facilities to support cross dock operations, large desptach docks and high bay selective racking in excess of 28,000 pallet locations in each.
Both sites have the capability of routing up to 9,500 cartons per hour across the sortation lanes.

A substantial review of current warehouse distribution operations was completed with an objective to improve production efficiency and reduce costs through improved process mapping and reconfiguration of current systems and MHE infrastructure.
Change has been achieved through the addition of a new warehouse operation and supporting racking systems. The introduction of voice picking technology has been introduced to facilitate improved picking methodology and deliver some of the unique pick and pack requirements for this business customer base.

A complete review of the business supply chain practices has been conducted to provided increased visibility within the supply chain and also increase efficiency within the overall supply chain network.
In addition to the refreshed approach through the order management and inventory control functions of the business a complete review of the business physical warehousing and distribution model is also being undertaken to compliment the opportunities identified with the supply chain management functions.
Renewed control of its supplier performance and availability has increased opportunities for reduced lead times, reduced CODB and improved customer service levels as well as positioning the business for continued growth.
